Meeting was called to order at 8:00 hrs. by Chairman K. Hagan. Roll was called, 42 members were present; a quorum, 4 members were excused and 1 members was absent and an appropriate sponsorship was present. Debra Sheldon SAI, Sergeant Schroeder, Gloria Godchaux, and Dotty Selmeczki from Operation Mom's.

Members were asked to remove their hats for a moment silence for American Prisoners of War, those Missing in Action, those Killed in Action, and for our troops deployed around the world.

Members were asked to indicate if they received their minutes of the last months meeting. A motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes from the June meeting. A vote was taken and passed to accept the minutes.

TREASURER'S REPORT: (R. Portune) the expenditures were explained. We have a balance of $139.00.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:


BY-LAWS: Mr. Northrop: We have submit new By-Laws.

FOOD SALE: Mr. Portune: The food sale is on stand down till next year.

SOCIAL: Mr. Portune: nothing to report

COLOR GUARD: Mr. Caffale: meeting after this meeting.

SCHOLARSHIP: Mr. Leavitt: is on stand down till next year.

STAMPS FOR SOLDIERS: Mr. Schuhmacher: we would like to clarify that the stamps for soldiers program is used stamps still on envelops. These stamps are peeled off envelops, and are used as therapy for wounded soldiers. We will send out a box of stamps this week. Mr. Northrop ask the group for permission to send certificates of appreciation to the lady's from the San Francisco museum of fine arts.

COMMARADERIE NIGHT: Mr. Stetler: working with Debra Sheldon to set up a date for this event. Remember to bring some snacks.

REAL CHOICE: Mr. Renteria: Nothing to report.

GRANTS: Mr. Singler: discussion will be held with the new Executive Body.

TAB'S FOR TOTS: Mr. Sanders: nothing to report.

OLD BUSINESS:


No Old Business...

NEW BUSINESS

Two new members have joined the group. They are Mr. Byars and Mr. Holloway. They made a short statement regarding their service and were welcomed to the group. These gentlemen have started their probationary period.

The motocycle poker run that we are sponsoring will donate all the money they make to our Toy Program and Operation Mom's. The group was asked which pin we would like to be presented to each person who participates in this poker run; a vote was taken and we will present a Spooky Pin to each participant. Mr. Northrop is funding the cost of these pins and will make them in the group's name.

Gloria from Operation Mom's made a proposal to have a packing day for our troops on the first of November. A vote was taken and passed.

EXECUTIVE BODY ELECTIONS: all new members were reminded they can not vote. Secret ballots were passed out by the Sergeant of Arms and collected. The two sponsors counted the votes. The results are:

A motion to adjourn was made and seconded. Motion was passed.
