General Membership Meeting

Meeting called to order at 0748 hours by Chairman Renteria. Roll was called. A quorum of voting members was present.


Chairman Renteria asked everyone to remove their hats for a moment of silence for America’s Prisoners of War, her Missing in Action, those Killed in Action, and our troops deployed around the world.


Members were asked to indicate if they received their minutes of the last meeting. No corrections or additions were noted. A motion was made to accept the minutes of the July 31, 2005, general membership meeting as written. Motion carried.


  • TREASURER REPORT:(Mr. Lott) A summary of current account status was presented to the group and no questions were posed.

  • SPECIAL THANKS: Mr. Renteria wanted to extend a special thanks to Mr. Lemus, Carol Jackson, Judith Manley, the Rice Family, Loretta Shaeffer, Deborah Sheldon, and June Fessler for all their help at the food sale. Thank you for all your dedication and help!!
    - Mr. Renteria would also like to thank Mr. Leavitt and the American Indians who volunteered their services if needed for the food sale.
    - Mr. Lemus thanked the group for all their help at the food sale, and passed along the thanks from the general population.

  • MEMBER AT LARGE (North Block): Mr. Renteria temporarily appointed Mr. Harry Barton as the Member at Large for North Block until we can vote at our next General Membership meeting to fill this position.

  • WEARING OF COVER: Mr. Renteria stated that we are a group that will maintain its integrity as a unit. He directed that we will wear our cover properly to all meetings, and to all group functions.

  • STAMPS FOR SOLDIERS: 2000 additional stamps were turned in to be mailed out.

  • S.Q.T.V. CORRECTION: Mr. Thomas informed the group that Mr. Langnese's name was spelled incorrectly on the television. The correction for this mistake is already in motion.

    CLOSURE: A motion to close the meeting at 0803 hours was made, motion carried and meeting closed at 0803 hours.
