Chairman Mr. Northrop called the meeting to order at 8:01 hrs. Roll was called, 40 members were present; a quorum. Four member were excused and two members were absent and an appropiate sponsorship was present. Debra Sheldon SAI.
Members were asked to remove their hats for a moment of silence for the American Prisoners of War, those Missing in Action, those Killed in Action, and for our troops deployed around the world.
Members were asked to indicate if they received their minutes of the last months meeting. A motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes from the July meeting. A vote was taken and passed to accept the minutes.
TREASURER'S REPORT: (R. Portune) the expenditures were explained. We have a balance of $0.00.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
BY-LAWS: Mr. Hagan: Mr. Hagan will be the new By-Law Chairmen. Our By-Laws have been approved and will be passed out at out next meeting.
FOOD SALE: Mr. Portune: we are currently tiring to get a stand-by food sale the narrative is in, we are waiting approval Mr. Portune asked for volunteers to pick up food sale forms, they are as following

SOCIAL: Mr. Portune: Operation Mom's packing day narrative is in. We are awaiting approval. The event will be on November 1st 2008. The meal is being donated, but we are asking each member to bring two sodas with them, one for the member the other for a guest, either cans or bottles.
COLOR GUARD: Mr. Baer will be the new Chairman.
STAMPS FOR SOLDIERS: Mr. Schuhmacher will continue to be Chairman. We would like to clarify that the stamps for soldiers program is used stamps still on envelops. These stamps are peeled off envelops, and are used as therapy for wounded soldiers.
REAL CHOICES: Mr. Renteria will continue to be Chairman.
GRANTS: Mr. Singler will continue to be Chairman.
TAB'S FOR TOT'S: Mr. Sanders will continue to be Chairman.
TOY PROGAM: Mr. Renteria will continue to be Chairman.
OLD BUSINESS:
Chairman Northop read the names of Operation MOM who will be attending the November 1st even.
A motion was made for the money made from the Iron Pig; Poker Run on November 8th 2008 is donated to Operation MOM. The motion was seconded; a vote was taken and passed.
A motion was made for the money made on our up coming fundraiser (Food Sale) is donated to the 82nd Airborne Golden Gate Chapter. The motion was seconded; a vote was taken and passed.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Niday will be paroling shortly, this will be his last meeting. He will be paroling to Menlo Park. Mr. Niday made a short statement. The group wishes him well.
The Sonoma County Winery is having a special event - A Dobbie Brothers Concert. Some of the proceeds from this event are donated to Veterans. Our group will try to make contact with them by sending presentation boxes. These boxes will be auctioned off, and the profits given to Veterans Organizations. A motion was made to proceed with this project. The motion was seconded. A vote was taken and passed.
Mr. Don Lassen from the Static Line has passed away. Mr. Lassen was a great supporter of our group and will be missed. A card was sent from the group.
Three new members has completed there probation period. A motion to wave the secret ballot was made and seconded. A vote was taken. The motion passed. A vote was taken for the three new members and passed. The new members are, Mr. Brooks, Mr. Green and Mr. Polley. The group welcomes them.
A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 8:57 AM.
