November General Meeting
Held in the Library on November 21, 2010

Chairman Lemus called the meeting to order at 0808 hrs. Roll was called: 29 members present, 4 members excused - there was a quorum. Our Chief Sponsor, Lt. K. Evans was present.

All present were asked to remove their hats for a moment of silence for those Missing-in-Action, those Killed-in-Action, and all other service members deployed in Iraq, Afghanistan, and around the world. .

All members were asked if they received the October 2010 General Meeting minutes. All members did receive their minutes and no corrections were requested. A motion to accept the minutes was requested by Mr. Parker and was seconded by Mr. Hagan. A vote was taken and the motion passed.

SECRETARY/TREASURER'S REPORT :
Mr. John Warren: We have $3672.97 in our account as of 11/6/2010. We paid off our $185.00 hat bill.


OUTSIDE COORDINATOR’S REPORT :
Mr. Jeff Langnese: We have received the following correspondence during the month of October:

BY-LAWS:

Mr. Harry Barton: No report, excused for a visit. Mr. Basile will discuss the proposed changes under Old Business.



FOOD SALE:

Mr. John Warren: We have some $29,527.13 in sales. The proceeds from this sale will be split 50-50 between the Toy Program and Operation Mom. We estimate some $3,500 after all of the bills are paid. The delivery day will be Sunday, December 5. We need people to show up on Saturday, December 4 to receive the dry and refrigerated goods. In addition, Chairman Lemus wants all of the members working the food sale to arrange for someone to pick up their order before noon on delivery day.



VIG OFFICE:

Mr. Ronald Self: No report, excused for a visit.



COLOR GUARD:

Mr. Stanley Baer: No report, excused for a visit.



TV RECEPTION:

Mr. Caffale: The free staff is still on vacation. The parts appear to have been ordered.



HISTORIAN/WEBSITE:

Mr. Kevin Hagan: Nothing to report at this time.



ST. JUDE’S RANCH:

Mr. Baer: No report, excused for a visit.



STAMPS for SOLDIERS:

Mr. Pete Rooke: I have changed the location of the collection box.



CAMARADERIE NIGHT:

Mr. John Warren: On Thursday, November 11, fifteen members watched A Bridge Too Far. Lt. Evans joined us on this special Veteran’s Day event. Thanks LT.



R.E.A.L. CHOICES:

Mr. Harry Barton: No report, excused for a visit.



TAB'S FOR TOT'S:

Mr. Rooke: I have changed the location of the collection box. A box with some 20 lbs. has been shipped.

OLD BUSINESS:
Chairman Lemus asked if there was any Old Business.

Chairman Lemus asked if there was any Old Business. Mr. Basile took the floor and introduced the proposed changes to the By-Laws. After much discussion, the following points were voted upon:

• New Lockdown & Ad/Seg policy: PASSED by majority.
• New Member’s probation starts at his first attended meeting: PASSED by majority.
• Your time as a member includes the probationary period: PASSED by majority.
• Probationary members cannot vote nor be nominated for office: PASSED by majority.



NEW BUSINESS
Chairman Lemus opened the floor to any New Business. There was no new business.


A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Mr. Basile and was seconded by Mr. Schuhmacher. A vote was taken and the motion passed. The meeting adjourned at 0902 hrs.
